Thinking about a perfect day at the beach can get you through a dull Tuesday at work, so you'll be pleased to hear the DT went thoroughly seasidey in their projects today. Imagine the fresh sea breeze, sipping a tall icy beverage and can you hear the seagulls?
First project today is from me! (DT Annabel (cartwaycards.blogspot.com)) and I knew I wanted to use the background builders to make a perfect beach scene, but more the UK kind, not the tropical one. I doodled in some birds to add a focal point too. I used Background Builder Waves Stencil, Layered Stencil Clouds, Background Builder Sand and White Caps and You Are Beautiful 4x8 Stamp Set for the sentiment.
I actually made two cards whilst I was happily messing and getting very inky, if you would like to see it, click the button below. It was actually rescued from the bin!
I promised some more handy tips this week so going to share a piece of info I wish I had known sooner! I am such a weakling when trying to pull apart magnets!
To round the seaside themed post off, here is a clever idea from DT Adam (Adam's Facebook Page) using the stamps and stencils for a window framed view - you could just step right out onto the beach! Adam used the Background Builder Stamp Palm Tree, Background Builder Stamp Sand and White Caps, and the Background Builder Wave Stencil.
Thanks for joining us at the beach today, remember to empty the sand out your shoes and the shells out your pockets before they go in the washing machine!
